Bayern Munich welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Allianz Arena for a Bundesliga Matchday 8 meeting on Saturday, 31 October 2026. The scheduled start is 17:30 UTC, which is 18:30 CET in Munich and 23:00 IST. The fixture is listed as a future match by FC Bayern, Bundesliga.com and FotMob.
A top-of-the-table meeting
The league's own preview places both teams on 17 points after seven matchdays, with neither side beaten. Bayern's goal difference is +19, compared with Dortmund's +8, so the hosts began the weekend above their rivals on that measure. Each club had dropped points in two draws.
That gives the fixture a clear early-season context without needing a prediction: two unbeaten sides meet while the margin at the top is being shaped by goals scored and conceded. The league page also describes this meeting as Der Klassiker, the established name for the Bayern-Dortmund rivalry.
