Key takeaways
- The fixture is scheduled for Monday, 26 October through Thursday, 29 October 2026.

A four-day Group C contest
This is a first-class Ranji Trophy match rather than a limited-overs fixture. The schedule places both teams in Elite Group C, and the match-centre listing specifies four match days with the standard local day running from a 09:30 start to a 16:30 close, subject to the competition's playing conditions. That format leaves room for the contest to develop across sessions and days instead of being decided inside a fixed overs limit. It also means the listed start date is the opening day of a multi-day fixture, not a single-session finish.
The available schedule evidence establishes the event identity and logistics, but it does not by itself establish the final playing XIs, late selection changes, injuries, broadcast arrangements or a likely result. Those details should be added only after a fresh official team or competition update. No prediction is made here, and no score or result is implied before play.
What to check before the toss
Readers should recheck the official match listing on the morning of play for any venue or timing revision, then confirm the announced XIs through an official team or competition channel. The current verified schedule is the 26–29 October window at Pune, beginning at 09:30 IST.
