Gout Gout is an Australian sprinter born in Ipswich on 29 December 2007. ESPN reports that he played competitive football in his junior years and was noticed at a 2020 school carnival. Public reporting identifies South Sudanese heritage; private family, residence and school details are excluded. World Athletics profile and Athletics Australia profile provide the identity record.
From first spikes to senior selection
The documented path runs from the 2020 discovery and 2021 coaching change through age-group records, a 2024 World U20 silver, the 2025 senior team and the Tokyo semi-final. CITIUS separately reported his professional adidas signing in October 2024. For more context, visit the Athletics players desk and the live Anju Bobby George profile.
